Weekend Recap: PART 2

Here's the other half.

Sunday:

FYI, Lee's Sandwiches on Colima and Fullerton is now open for all you local folks!

That night, our band DEAR LIFE had a show at DiPiazza's in Long Beach, CA.

Before the show, we all decided to walk over to Holé Molé to grab some grub. We walked in just in time for their 'Late Night Fish Fest'. We love deals! And we love fish tacos!

Mike is pretty metal.

Oh wait, no no, THIS guy is metal. You know, the usual - some drunk dude telling us how we should be living our lives. Wearing a Rotting Christ t-shirt.

Ok, my bad. AZUSA is definitely metal.

I lied. BABY JASE IS FUCKIN' METAL. Check this guy out filling in on vocals for us.

I guess Art (WINDS OF PLAGUE) is pretty metal too. I guess..

Yeah, I'd say having a Houdini tattoo would have to be pretty damn metal.

Nancy is metal too :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY! WE LOVE YOU!

Ok, no more metal.

Weekend Recap: PART 1

We had quite the eventful weekend and there was a million photos on my camera. Yes, I counted. These should sum it up. Here's the first half!

Saturday:

MISERY SIGNALS was in town on tour so Chuck and I decided to go and chill with Karl. Before the show, we stopped by at the office to pick up some gear for Karl and hit up Fairfax and Melrose.

Yay! You still like us!

There were at least 3 of these in the residential areas around Melrose. Sucks!

Jammin' to some oldies.

Santa Monica Blvd.

My favorite venue in Hollywood - The Troubadour.

Shoutout to Jason (LETLIVE)! Come see us soon!

I haven't seen so many underage girls at a metal show since.. EVER.

Seriously one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet. Once again, thanks Karl for letting us enjoy your live performance. Hopefully next time you're on tour in the area, they'll give you a day off in Southern California. Be safe on the road and send everyone our love!

It's been a long time since I've seen a '1' in the dollar section. It's also been a long time since Chuck filled up for $22.

Then we caught up with the rest of the guys for some late night treats at Yogurtland.

Then Yoshinoya for some clam chowder! My favorite soup ever. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

Your favorite dudes.

And don't forget - WEEKLY WINTER 08 is in full effect! If you missed out on any of these tees before, you better make sure to pick one up this time. Remember, they're ONLY available for a limited time and ONLY available here on our ONLINE SHOP.

Get to it!

WEEKLY WINTER 08

In true L&O fashion (no pun intended), we've once again decided to try something a little different. For this year's WINTER 08 release, we will not be dropping an entire collection all at once. Instead, since we print everything in-house and do it all ourselves, we thought it would be interesting to try a different "release" method and keep you all on your toes.

We would like to introduce to you our new idea - WEEKLY WINTER 08. We will be dropping select items every Monday - "Case of the Mondays" - for the entire Winter season all the way up until January. CASE 1 drops this coming Monday November 24th and if you want to find out what else we will be releasing for Winter, you'll have to keep checking back WEEKLY!

All items from WEEKLY WINTER 08 will ONLY be available in our ONLINE SHOP directly from us. No more confusion on where to find it because there will only be one place to get it!

Another important note: Each CASE will only be available for 2 weeks after it is released and will only be printed in VERY limited amounts per garment. Basically, get it NOW or get it NEVER!

Last but certainly not least, since we are taking full advantage of the fact that we print everything ourselves, we also thought it would be fitting to offer you a LOWER PRICE :) With the holiday season in full swing, consider it our gift to all of you! All t-shirts will be lowered to $22.00 instead of $25.00.

With all of that being said, I give you WEEKLY WINTER 08 CASE 1 dropping Monday November 24th:

Greyscale Unity Tee

CMYK Unity Tee

Like A Stone Tee

Keep checking back for more info and updates! Let the games begin.

Christmas Came Early

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. And I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen.

Thanks Ron! Anyway, look what came in the mail today!

I just love how user friendly this camera is. I've already learned so much about its abilities and power and I can't wait keep figuring it out. Way too stoked!

Oh yeah, the guys from STATE OF MIND wanted me to let you know that their REAL GRAND OPENING is going to be on Black Friday, November 28th. This is the real deal.

Lastly, one very important piece of information. It would be in your best interest to check back tomorrow because we have BIG NEWS for you all regarding our WINTER 08 release. Seriously. Don't miss it.

Taco Tuesday

Yesterday, we took a break from another meeting to grab some lunch at Rubio's near the West Covina mall. Usually the fish tacos are only $1 on Taco Tuesday's but apparently the price has been raised to $1.25. Bullshit! Oh well, at least Elie (Fly Robot) was chillin' with us which made up for the price increase. They've got big plans for Holiday so watch out.

Anyway, after our glorious lunch, we decided to walk over to Store 13 and catch up with Teppei. Much of the conversation was about future plans for the shop and how we print all of our own apparel. Essentially we just talked about the lack of "D.I.Y." in a lot of "brands" and "companies" and how other brands and companies are just "killin' it".

One great piece of wisdom that I can share with you is an analogy that Teppei used to describe how it is for him as a retailer to work with brands and their product. In a nutshell, business is like dating. Maybe your brand and his store might start dating and go out a few times. Everything is cool and all and it's all chill but if you don't perform when it matters, he might just start dating other brands and not call you back. But if you "fuck the shit outta" him, he might just call you back a few more times and who knows, you might just start a long-term relationship. Or maybe your brand is that other guy who talks all big claiming he's got a huge wang. His store has heard about your big one and wants to take you out for a night and if you "fuck the shit outta" him, he might actually give you a call again. But if it turns out you ain't packin' and you didn't please, you may never hear back again.

Words of wisdom, I tell ya.

Seriously though, it really is cool to see that there are still people from his generation that are all about building a business from the ground up and not completely "selling out" and letting some dude with a fat wallet run your business the way he wants. It makes me feel all warm inside that the D.I.Y. mentality is still alive and well in many places and that there's still people out there looking out for the little guys.

On that note, be on the lookout for Winter. We're gonna "fuck the shit outta" you.

Good Company.

There's nothing more satisfying than surrounding yourself with great people. Today we had a meeting for the future of LOUD& OBNOXIOUS, conceptualizing designs and ideas for the upcoming seasons.

Lately we've been so busy, we decided to make some additions to our team.

Meet Krista K.

First you have to spot her (she was shy today). She's been a big help in the past couple weeks packing, shipping out packages (if you've ordered from us recently, no doubt she handled your order), and organizing our warehouse. Krista has been there for us since day 1, coming out to most of the events we were a part of to support. To go even further back, she helped our bands by promoting our shows and being in attendance at every one.

Meet Patrick.

He's been kind enough to offer a helping hand to our ever growing company. He's a nice guy and enjoys a nice pair of denim.

His G1 was also a big distraction at the meeting today. As everyone decided they needed to Google random thoughts on his phone.

I just want to take this time to show them a little appreciation for their effort, willingness, and passion to help this company grow.

-----

No great day is complete without some good 'ol Molca Salsa. Also considering we haven't been in a while. So it was a well deserved break after our meeting.

The best part of going to Molca Salsa?

The car ride.

On to some updates:

We have some big, new things planned for the upcoming Winter. Stay tuned, you don't want to miss out. There are a couple big announcements coming in the following days! Keep checking back!
