Still Sprung

Here's a couple more sneak peeks at Spring 10 while we're in production this week. This first one goes out to the Dirty South..

So true.

Working hard? Hardly working.

It's actually rather ironic that we're releasing a t-shirt that says, "Love is the fall of every man," because I just recently went through a break-up of my own. Actually, she's the one who illustrated that first t-shirt design in this blog post.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and, whether good or bad, it's just something that has to happen in order for other things to happen in your life. We learn new things about ourselves and we grow as individuals to become stronger than we were the day before. Although it hurts, you have to respect if someone decides they're not going down the same path as you. Just look at what you had and remember it for what it was worth and treasure the good times. No one should ever live life with regrets.

When life gives you lemons, you paint that shit gold.

Get Sprung

As you may have noticed, it's been a rough production season for us. The issues with the auto press drastically slowed down production for Glad Rags Ink and as a result, Spring 10 production unfortunately also suffered. We are back to full strength but spent most of the past week just catching up on backed up GRink orders. Finally, this is the week where we get caught up and Spring 10 can come to life! Here are a few more sneak peeks to hold you over.

We got curious and sampled a few of these for fun. Psychedelic, brah!

Rob brought in his Wii with all of these classic video game emulators. The favorite so far is for SNES. Can't beat Super Nintendo!

This past weekend, we threw a 32 team, double elimination beer pong tournament in our warehouse. The 2nd Annual Natty Classic Beer Pong Tournament, to be exact. More on that soon.

Heating Up

For the past few days, we've been trying to catch up with backed up orders for Glad Rags Ink and I think we've finally caught up. As I mentioned in the previous post, we had some equipment failures that crippled our work flow but now we're back to full strength and ready to power through another production season. The weather is starting to heat up again and so are our upcoming collections! Here's a sneak peek at some new joints from our Spring 10 season:

I don't know about you, but I think Matt is happy that it's March. Along with several other dudes, he is participating in March Mustache Madness. This is going to get interesting.

Never Dead

If you've been following our Twitter (which you should if you don't!) or keep track with us on Facebook, you know that we've been having some equipment issues in our warehouse all this week. Before L&O, there was Glad Rags Ink which we run out of the same warehouse. GRink is a company that offers a screen printing service to anyone that needs it and it has been our bread and butter for over 4 years now. Every now and then, GRink experiences technical difficulties and everyone has to scramble to try and fix the problem while still getting work done, meeting deadlines, keeping clients happy, and hopefully pushing forward with L&O. Unfortunately, this was one of those weeks.

Just as we were about to begin Spring 10 production for L&O, one of the motors in our auto press gave out and ended up snapping off of its own brackets.

For us, this was like our Achilles heel and crippled our work flow throughout the week. We had to try and catch up with work using only our manual press, just like the old days! Fortunately the manufacturer Brown MFG has been very helpful throughout this whole ordeal and we look to finally clean this mess up today. A wise man once said, "The only thing that overcomes hard luck is hard work." Another wise man also said, "If you're going through hell, keep going." Just another week at the GRink / L&O office. Shooting trouble since '07.

Amidst the everyday struggles, we try to channel that energy into our branding in hopes that anyone can find inspiration to carry on through their own hardships. Our good friend Eric wanted to show us a little bit of his own L&O spirit.

NEVER DEAD.

Cleaned Out

Huge thanks to every single person who braved the rain and made it down to our warehouse on Saturday. We know you could have easily just decided to be lazy and stay in, which some people did, but you decided to come spend a gloomy afternoon with us and we just wanted to let you know we really appreciated that.

Thanks to the Gallegos familia for cooking up a storm! The "crusty" is becoming a fan favorite around these parts. Of course, big thanks to Monster Energy for providing drinks and keeping everyone awake.

If you missed the sale this weekend, have no fear. There are still some great products available in stock! Once we update our inventory, we'll be launching a quick online sale so stay tuned! There are even a few "event-only" tank tops leftover. Check back for updates!
