Working Hard
Or hardly working?
At least the website is almost completely finished. Some parts are still under construction but we are working to get all the content filled up. Thanks for your patience! And don't forget about this Saturday October 4th - the Pre-Release of our highly anticipated FALL 08 Line, "The Second Coming".
The weather might be getting cooler this week, but it's only getting 'hotter' around here! Keep checking back every day this week. More pics and updates.

The Second Coming
It's here. After one year, we're back with our Fall collection and we couldn't be more excited. This time around we're a little wiser, a little more experienced, and actually have some revenue from the first year to play with. We've definitely stepped our game up and can't wait to show you what we have been up to. If you're reading this, then you've already noticed that we finally invested in a brand new website. There's still some parts that are under construction but it's coming together quite nicely. Our good friend Maca (The Masses) whipped this bad boy up for us and has been helping me launch it for the past couple weeks so big thanks to him. If you ever need a website, he's your man. We've also established ourselves as a legitimate business with the registration of LOUD& OBNOXIOUS LLC. I know, finally!
I guess, in a way, it's like the re-emergence of our brand. We basically reinvested everything we made in the last year back into the company just to turn it into something that we never would've imagined. A reinvention, so to speak. Hence, "The Second Coming," but that's a beast on its own so more on that later. It really is crazy how much you can accomplish in one year if you just work hard enough and never give up.
The FALL 08 Collection will officially be released starting October 11th in three locations. We will debut once again at Dunkxchange in Fullerton, CA but we will also be opening up our very own online SHOP right here at loudobnoxious.com. You will also be able to find it at any of our RETAILERS once we update our listings. All I can say is that this line literally is bigger, better, and badder. I'm also happy to announce that we will be debuting our very first WOMEN'S collection of L&O apparel so we hope you're ready, ladies!
Lucky for you, we're also impatient so we decided to give all you Southern Californians first dibs on our FALL 08 drop. We will have a Fall 08 Pre-Release event this Saturday October 4th from 1PM-6PM so mark down your calendars and come hang out this weekend. Similar to the 1 Year Anniversary BBQ Sale, we will be opening up shop here at the Glad Rags Ink / L&O office for one day only so make sure you line up early! First come, first serve and cash and credit will be accepted. All new shirts will be available.
And now, the best part of your day! Fall 08 production teasers. Enjoy!
More pictures and details every day all week long. Keep checking back for updates, as usual. See you on Saturday! Spread the word!

Two Birds, One Blog
I thought this would be an opportune time to say congratulations to our good friend Art. He recently joined the metal band Winds of Plague and we couldn't be more proud of him. We've only known him for a short while but in that time he quickly became a very close friend of ours and a part of our little circle. The second I met him, I knew there was something a little different about him. It was the way he talked about the music industry. Always so hopeful and wanting to push his band as far as he possibly can. All he's dreamed of is to be in a full-time touring metal band or work with metal bands and all this year he's been making it happen. He got a break to do some drum tech work for Suicide Silence on the Mayhem Festival with bands like Disturbed, Slipknot, and Underoath and now he's going to be on stage with WOP tearing shit up. Kudos to living your dreams! Oh yeah, and he's pretty much a professional magician. Give the man a deck of cards and he'll make your head spin. Anyway, congrats Art! We're all stoked for you. See you on Sunday!
Speaking of the Dodgers, congrats to them too for clinching the NL West title! It certainly seemed like all of L.A. let out a sigh of relief when they finally did it. The way I found out about the news was actually a little unconventional as well. For the past week, I knew that they were getting pretty close to clinching but I wasn't certain. Out of nowhere, I started getting a lot of emails, texts, IM's, and messages all about the same thing - the LA Torre tee. Again! After we just finished our 'last' re-print! Everyone's looking to get a Torre tee for the playoffs. Just L&O being L&O, I guess. Go blue!
Oh yeah, if anyone can somehow get an LA Torre tee into Joe Torre's hands himself, do it! And take a picture! It's just one of those things that we need to cross off of lifelong "To Do" list.

Let the Games Begin!
I already know the consequences of my actions when I announce something like this, but we couldn't help it due to some technical difficulties almost one year in the making. When we first debuted one year ago with our Fall 2007 line, we were picked up by an online store called TOYBOXTIM.COM and immediately after that, he began having problems with keeping the site up so our Fall 07 stock never made it online. With that said, ToyBoxTim is back and has finally updated his website and L&O is now for sale! And to make this even more dramatic, guess what he has in stock. All I'm going to say is that it was our most infamous shirt we've ever printed. The FIRST shirt we ever printed.
Yeah, that one. I'm not even going to post a picture of it because you should know by now! Have a look for yourself at TOYBOXTIM.COM.
And pertaining to our upcoming Fall 2008 release, I would say that this is perfect timing for "The Second Coming" to emerge. Watch out! I'm tellin' you, the next few days are going to have you losing your mind!
Oh yeah, and the website is still under a bit of construction. You may notice that some links and pages are still incomplete. We're working on it! It should be up and fully functional by this weekend.

If you're reading this, thanks for checking back and please continue to keep checking back all this week because we will be making some HUGE updates. Even bigger than this crazy website that you're looking at.

Everywear
During a recent visit to the L&O warehouse, I stumbled upon the newest issue of Maxim Magazine with Megan Fox on the cover, and boy was I in for a treat! Those of you who have seen it already know what I'm talking about. I didn't even know it was possible to be that gorgeous. Here are some pictures from that issue...
And then a couple days ago, while at the store, i stumbled upon another gem. Megan Fox on the cover of the new issue of GQ magazine. I'm just having the best luck, and so is Megan with all this new publicity. We should get her to model the L&O Fall 2008 line(COMING VERY SOON). Plus another random tidbit about these photos, they we're shot by none other than Terry Richardson. For all you hypebeasts out there, he was responsible for the ever so popular Supreme Kermit T-shirt.
damn, Megan Fox is everyWEAR!!!
i hope you have enjoyed this post as much as i have.
-kris!
p.s. if anybody personally knows Megan Fox, or knows a girl that looks like her, tell her to hit me up on myspace. jk.... unless you really do...

Do you like to do it yourself?
We've mentioned Jaimee a couple times on the blog, but I thought I'd give you a little more insight on her little project. Ever since we started Glad Rags Ink and L&O, we've been encouraging others to start their own personal endeavors. I love having those engaging conversations with people about the things that they're passionate about because that's when you know what you really want to do with your life. The reason I started a band, a brand, and our own DIY company is because I'd rather do something that I absolutely love than have to do something I don't entirely enjoy just because the paycheck is fatter.
My girlfriend Jaimee is currently an art major at Cal State Fullerton for graphic design and she's having a lot of fun, but like me and almost any other college student, she wasn't sure exactly what she wanted to do. When we started dating and talked about all of our hobbies, she would always get really giddy and tell me about all the little projects that she does on her own time. She would work for hours on end making stuff for friends and family and never gets tired of it. It was that sparkle in her eye that reminded me of the way I felt when I knew I wanted to start all of my own ventures. I started encouraging her to start a simple website with a catchy name that she could use as a portfolio for all her works because you never know when one little idea may become the next big thing.
Now Made By Mee has become a reality and she's already been busy making trinkets for a few different people. You may recognize some of her work from our 1 Year Anniversary BBQ Sale where we had a custom made zipper pocket with our logo on it. Yup, she made those all by hand. As a gift for our 1 year anniversary, she also made custom L&O notepads for me, Matt, and Brian. She even made this amazingly cute penguin zipper pocket for our friend Chris as a gift for his grandmother. Jaimee now offers a simple service of custom products so if you ever need anything with that home made touch or just need a cute gift for a loved one, go to MadeByMee.com and check out her work! She loves what she does and would be more than happy to help you out.
This weekend has been very inspirational for me. Yesterday, we had our booth at the Glasshouse Swapmeet and it was really awesome to see all the different vendors coming together for a really fun event. I love seeing how different people are taking their hobbies and turning them into potential careers. Oh yeah, I'm sure Brian will be posting photos from the swapmeet along with some updates so watch out for that. Anyway, later that day our band Dear Life played a festival event in L.A. which was free admission and for a good cause. It's always nice to see people doing things for the right reason - because they love what they do. And when I finally got home and made by rounds on my favorite blogs, I found out that our buddy Johnny is one of the finalists for BusinessWeek's America's Best Young Entrepreneurs. I get really excited when I read about all these young people doing the things that they love and succeeding. It just fuels my fire and inspires me to keep doing what I'm doing. Go check it out at Mr. Cupcakes' blog and vote for him!
To everyone out there thinking about starting their own band, brand, project, company, hobby, or anything at all - DO IT! What are you waiting for? This life is too short to be caught up living under the weight of false idols. Do what you love and live for the experiences. If it is something you're passionate about, you won't have any problem doing it everyday. Sure, it can be a lot of hard work. Sure, it can be tougher financially. But at least it will be more fulfilling and worth it in the end. As long as you still have that sparkle in your eye, you'll keep shining.
You are the tip of the iceberg. Untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. A mass to be reckoned with.
Carpe diem.

This Time Last Year.
LOUD& OBNOXIOUS was in the midst of production for our debut Fall 2007 line. We were pulling all nighters, along with all day-ers, early morning snacks of Spam, eggs, and rice, delirious humor due to the fact that sometimes we would be awake for 48 hours or so. On top of all that we were juggling our various band schedules. It's strange to look back and see how far we've come. Last year we were printing out of Vince and Matt's garage. Things have changed now.
Before:
Now:
We have entered the City of Industry for our production needs.
I don't know if all of you out there remember our Fall 2007 line. But here's a quick run through (for reference).
Ape Shit, still one of our favorite tees. There's only 30 or so pieces in existence (I don't even have one!). I've actually seen some of these popping up lately. There's a little Warhol and a lot of L&O.
L&O Smiley and Colorfade Exclamations, we were crazy about colorfades at this point, even printed little colorfade bar logos on the back. The Smiley tee is a rare one, maybe 20 or so odd pieces in existence. The Colorfade Exclamations was our very first exclamation tee and we've pretty much ran with it since!
Live Loud, graphic designed by Josh Principe. Also limited (25 or so in each colorway). Very detailed sketch of a skull with an Indian headdress. On the scroll it says," Live Loud", because we feel you need to go by life with a can-do attitude and one must be able to speak their mind, or they will perish. Just Kidding. Cool shirt nonetheless.
Last but definitely not least, Fast Times at High School Musical. Up to this day, we still get e-mails and Myspace messages asking if we have the tee still in stock. I've seen a couple go on eBay for quite the pretty penny. Probably safe to say one of our fastest selling tees ever.
There you have it, our debut line and a brief run through. We started with no idea on how to start or run a brand. So we've pretty much done it the best way we know how, pave the way and do it our own way. We wrote our own story with no ending in sight. Ladies and gentlemen, this year is the true beginning of LOUD& OBNOXIOUS as you know it. Stay tuned for the "Second Coming" and thank you for your continued support, none of this would've been possible without you.

Last Chance
A lot of you guys were asking about this tee, so we decided to do one last (very small) re-print of the LA TORRE from the Winter 07 line. This re-print only has 50 total, with half going to each colorway, so if you missed out before, you'll have to act quick to get your hands on these. These tees will be available only in two places. 30 of them (sizes S-XXL) will be going to AUTHENTIX in Claremont, CA and the other 20 (sizes S-XL) will be here at our office in City of Industry, CA and available also via email. Send an email to email@loudobnoxious.com if interested in ordering or visiting our office for pickup.
Act now!
Also, we will have a booth at the Glasshouse Swapmeet this Saturday Sept. 20th. The admission is free and will feature booths by Obey, Kid Robot, Paul Frank, To Die For, Hooligan Skate, Rockett, and more! The event runs from 10AM-3PM so come early! We'll be selling all of our tees for $15 each, along with a few extra windproof lighters and LA Torre tees (if there's any left!)
Hope to see you this weekend! And stick around for updates on the upcoming Fall 08 release. We've got big things in store for you guys.
