REFUSED ARE FUCKING DEAD. OR NOT.

I am proud to say that myself and a good number of our close friends will be watching Refused play tonight at The Glass House in Pomona. This is their first show in the US since they have reunited, which means it will be epic to say the least. I don't think any of us ever imagined we would be able to see Refused perform live in our lifetime ever since their breakup 14 years ago. But here we are now, waiting patiently over a few beers. Their album, "The Shape of Punk to Come" was literally that. It would be impossible to put a number to the amount of bands Refused has influenced. They defintely influenced our band, Dear Life, when we were still writing music and touring and even has an impact on L&O. For those of you who might not remember, here was a design dedicated to their song "New Noise" that we felt described L&O in a nutshell. If you've never heard it, check it out, seriously. Better yet, check out everything they have recorded, it's all good. It's real. It's punk. Their music has stood the test of time and will continue to.
