Conga Line? KOGI Line.

Seriously though, get in line. If you want a taste of KOGI BBQ, you're going to have to wait at least an hour or two. Why? Well, because it's probably the only taco truck you'll ever find that fuses Mexican and Korean cuisine.

You heard correct! They have taken the best of both worlds - Korean BBQ and your favorite Mexican classics - and created a cult following that looks like something off of Melrose or Fairfax Ave. Have a look for yourself, this was the line BEFORE the truck even arrived.

I took these shots from the very last spot in the line because we got there a little late. One of the Kogi guys even started offering coupons for free tacos to anyone willing to leave because the line was so damn long. They were afraid they might not have enough food and warned everyone that we might be waiting for at least 3-4 hours. Luckily we found some friends who had arrived earlier than us and we were able to "maneuver" our way to the middle of the line. Ok, we cut. Big deal!

And finally, after two hours of "lights off" jokes and porn star names, we ate. Definitely worth the wait and definitely lived up to the hype. Angela agrees!

I think my favorite part, other than the obvious authentic Korean flavor, was that it wasn't too spicy and also not too bland. I'm not really a spicy foods guy at all, but it had enough to keep me interested and definitely wanting more.

If you want to get a taste for yourself, check out the KOGI BBQ website and Twitter. They're usually out in Los Angeles satisfying the late-night club and bar scene but sometimes you can catch them during the day or in other parts of the Greater Los Angeles area, like last night in Rowland Heights. Don't take my word for it! Try it for yourself!

Speaking of Twitter, I'm going to try and get the L&O crew to start posting and talking shit on there, so watch out! Follow us at www.twitter.com/loudobnoxious.
